After a discussion which ended in a mutual decision that East Devon were in dire need to bridge the gap between local leagues and regional league the county set out to do just that, and that they did!
 

On the 29th January 2023 Honiton Harlequins were in action in their first county match v CCNC.

Coming out quickly we were able to get 5 goals on the board unanswered. Defensive pressure made it tricky for CCNC to find goal and we won the quarter 16-5.

CCNC started well in the 2nd and began to get success. Consistency through to goal was patchy and we went into half time 26-14 up.

After making a few changes we started the 3rd quarter well and once we had settled were able to push on ending 40-19 going into the last.

A couple more changes and despite some great defence from CCNC , we ended the quarter strongly winning the match overall 52-28.
